The Future of Energy

Offshore Wind Farm

The future of energy has to involve the complete replacement of fossil fuel if we are to move to a sustainable way of living. Fossil fuel use also comes at a high price environmentally with land degradation, carbon dioxide and other emissions, oil spills and potentially in Australia with the coal seam gas industry, a reduction in our available land for food production. At present the renewable technologies such as solar, wind and wave are inadequate in dealing with a large and growing world population and increased energy use.

There are a number of inventors who claim to have invented “free” energy devices or over-unity devices. Thomas Henry Moray is a 20th century engineer and inventor who also claimed to have a radiant energy device, the Moray valve. If “free” or cold electricity can be proven, then the widespread use of these technologies could transform our society and planet to one that is far more sustainable with less pressure on resources. It may also be worthwhile for engineering and science researchers to look again at work done by Nikola Tesla in this area or related areas and conducting research into the radiant energy device and scientific ideas of Dr Harold Aspden, theoretical physicist. In such a case the economic benefits would be enormous and potentially across all countries.
